I recently posted about 4WD's excellent Lego map, JB-SpaceLego, when it was in beta testing. It has now been released on NaliCity, so there's no excuse for not trying its execution sequence. It's destined to be a classic.

Another recently-released map is TheHead's Cyanide: fast-paced and easy to pick up.

If you fancy a bit of a walk on the wild side, there are several more maps in beta: Vatcilli zeitchef's Monody, AcydBurn's Apophis, and there's even talk of getting Spoondog's old map Isolated finished!

The Jailbreak III Mothership rises from the ashes of the past, born anew and soaring towards the heavens as sun god Rich from DefconServers has given our Phoenix a brand new home in New York City. That bird has turned into a shiny 16 slot free-for-all server dedicated to those who are still in love with Unreal Tournament and Jailbreak III.

So fear no more the agony, with the Sunday Lockdown and the Wednesday Parole times are promising. Kudos to DefconServers! And the cookie goes to Spoondog. See ya this Wednesday!

The phoenix was a fabulous mythical bird, said to be as large as an eagle, with brilliant scarlet and gold plumage and a melodious cry. Making its home near a cool well, the Phoenix would appear at dawn every morning to sing a song so enchanting that even the great sun god Ra would stop to listen.

It was said that only one phoenix existed at any one time, and it is very long-lived with a life span of 500 years. As the end of its life approached, the phoenix would build a pyre nest of aromatic branches and spices such as myrrh, sets it on fire, and is consumed in the flames. After three days the birth -- or as some legends say a rebirth -- the phoenix arises from the ashes.

Hazel's map Divergence, previously in beta, has been released on Nali City (and there's also a banner for it).

It's a medium-sized map, with a great combination of eye-candy and gameplay. There are jump pads to goodies on high ledges in the central area and an opportunity for different defence tactics around the release switch: will you stay near and risk getting knocked off into space, or play it safe further away?

Hazel describes it as "a structure in space that kind of looks like a mixture of ancient and futuristic styles, with lots of plants". This appears to have started a new fashion for the organic look, as there's at least one other map currently in beta that features a good few plants.
